White Bumps on the Penis Skin or Head
In most cases, white bumps on the penile shaft or glans are either Pearly Penile Papules, Fordyce Spots, or Tyson Glands. Those are normal anatomic variations, and they do not cause any health risks. However, men can suffer from anxiety because people can mistake them for sexually transmissible diseases. They can be treated by a dermatologist, or at home using the PPP Kit.
Pearly Penile Papules
Pearly Penile Papules (PPP) are white bumps that appears on the corona of the penis glans. They are in fact an agglomeration of fibrosis. Those chunk of fibrosis takes space, therefore white bumps appear on the glans, creating Papules.
It is not clear yet where PPP come from, but it is believed to happen due to leftover embryonic development in the womb. Pearly penile papules is much more common on uncircumcised penises, around 20% of men have some papules, varying in quantities and sizes.
Tyson Glands are sebaceous glands that looks like small white bumps, similar to Pearly Penile Papules that form on each side of the Frenulum. The Frenulum is the attachment of your foreskin to the glans.
Fordyce Spots on the penis are sebaceous glands which looks like small bumps that appear on the penile shaft. Do not confuse them with ingrown hairs. If you have Fordyce Spots, they most likely appear all over the penile shaft. Scarring risk is greater when doing the procedure on Fordyce Spots as the skin on the shaft is thicker.
We do not recommend using the PPP KIT for removing Fordyce Spots as scarring risk is too high. Seek advices from a dermatologist for Fordyce Spots.
Other type of bumps
Papules can vary in size and quantity, but overall, they all look the same. In early adulthood, they are settled in and won't change much anymore. If yours look different, you might want to confirm what they are with your doctor as they may be another type of skin problem.
Those experiencing Pearly Penile Papules have been long told that their only “solution” is an expensive dermatology treatment or untrustworthy oils and creams that don’t offer long-term results. We are happy to debunk these myths with the PPP Kit!
PPP Kit uses an electric Ionizer to vaporize the papules, similar to how it's done during laser treatment. The kit includes everything needed to do-it-yourself at home safely and with no pain. The PPP KIT method is backed with before and after pictures sent from customers all over the world!
