We then present you with cheaper alternatives and a new home treatment for pearly penile papules at a fraction of the cost, thanks to the PPP Kit.

What are Pearly Penile Papules

Around 20% of men develop small bumps on the penis glans or skin during puberty. They can either be Pearly Penile Papules, Tyson Glands, or Fordyce Spots. These small withe or skin colored bumps are naturally occurring, not contagious, and do not pose any health risks. However, their appearance can cause anxiety as they are often falsely mistaken by their sexual partners for STDs or some type of genital warts (human papillomavirus). Penile papules removal is commonly performed, they can easily be removed via dermatologist treatment or at home by using a PPP kit.

Price Range for PPP Laser Treatment

Dermatology clinics are reluctant to provide pricing by phone, most will tell you that you need to first attend a consultation to get the exact pricing. The reason is that it depends on how many papules you have, in other words, how much carbon dioxide laser treatment you need to get them all off. In most cases, only one session is required, unless you particularly have a lot of papules, which might require 2 or 3 sessions to remove. After insisting on a price range for PPP removal, we were given the following answer:

Treatment cost for pearly penile papules removal range from $800 to $1,200 per session, plus an initial consultation fee of $150.

First Comes the Initial Consultation Fee

The initial consultation is more expensive than subsequent consultations, but it is mandatory to receive the PPP laser therapy. The price for a consultation varies with each clinic, ranging from $150 up to $300. We decided to visit the clinic with the $150 consultation price.

Our Visit at the Dermatologist for PPP Laser Removal

The staff was professional and made me feel quite comfortable, despite the sensitive topic. After the dermatologist examined my pearly penile papules, I was reassured that they could be removed in only 1 session, and it would cost $800.

How is the PPP Laser removal treatment performed?

The dermatologist briefly explained how the CO2 Laser treatment works. First, they give you a numbing cream that you must apply on your glans penis 30 minutes before treatment. The CO2 Laser treatment takes only 10 minutes to perform. A Carbon Dioxide laser will vaporize each of the papules one by one, and there is even a little vacuum on their tool that swallows the generated smoke from the burned papules. Recovery is painless and takes approximately 10 days.

I told them that I would come back once I have enough money for this.
PS: I ended up never coming back.

Cheaper PPP treatments

Some dermatologists offer an alternative penile papule treatment costing less than the laser treatment. The most popular and widely used alternative is the electrodesiccation procedure, also known as Hyfrecation or Electrosurgery.

Electrosurgery

Removing Pearly penile papules with Electrosurgery or electro-desiccation is widely used, and sometimes even preferred to laser treatment. It uses a Hyfrecator device to deliver a pin-pointed spark of electricity to the papules. This heats them up and vaporizes them just like the laser treatment does, and provides excellent results. The cost is a little less than laser treatment, electrosurgery treatment for PPP can start as low as $600 up to $1,000, plus an initial consultation fee. It can usually be done within only 1 session but can require a second or third session if you have a lot of papules.

Home Treatment - PPP Kit

PPP Kit is a new home treatment for pearly penile papules. The Kit contains everything you need to do the PPP removal procedure at home by yourself. It uses an electrical Ionizer to vaporize the papules exactly as a Hyfrecator does during Electrosurgery. Removing pearly penile papules with the PPP Kit only costs $129, which is even less than a dermatologist consultation fee!

Natural remedies

You may find online a bunch of other methods for pearly penile papules removal including organic oils such as castor or tea tree oil, a toothpaste method, and even specialized creams. We have already discussed in other articles about our experience using these methods. In most cases, no serious side effect will happen but it will have no effects on penile papules. The penis glans area is particularly sensitive to changes, especially for uncircumcised men. Applying those substances down there may change the natural bacterial flora and lead to temporary side effects caused by poor hygiene.

How I Removed the Pearly Penile Papules by Myself

I first tried different home remedies for PPPs, such as toothpaste, oils, and a specialized topical cream, but after months of dedication, nothing worked for me. This is where the PPP Kit solution came in handy.
